A one-person studio with a four-game plan

FiveFour Games started because Austin Adamson had the thought most people have once and then let go of: I should make a video game.

Development on Bombseeker began in June 2024. It became obvious pretty quickly that it would not be one game — the world it was set in, Aldia, had room for more, and there was a shape to how those games should arrive. That warranted a studio with its own name and identity, so FiveFour Games was founded in September 2024 under the Rogue Wolf umbrella.

The plan is four games in Aldia, released in the order the story wants them: Bombseeker makes the roads between towns safe, Town Defender holds the towns themselves, Beast Slayer deals with what is left in between, and Raising Numar is the turn-based RPG that gets to assume you were there for all three.

Alongside that, we take on partner work. Jawless Fishtank was built with Jawless Fish as a marketing piece for their store, and became our first released title in July 2025.

FiveFour is one person. Everything you play was designed, built, and mostly drawn by the same hands — with the exception of Bombseeker, which has art from moebeast25, and Jawless Fishtank, which was a genuine collaboration with the Jawless Fish team.

Who makes it

  • Austin Adamson A45N

    Founder, developer, designer

Founded the studio and builds the games — design, code, art, and everything that is not one of those three. FiveFour is a one-person studio, and Aldia is a one-person world.

How we got here

2025

  1. Bombseeker demo released

The first playable slice of Aldia goes out to the public.

  2. Jawless Fishtank launches

Out on Steam, Google Play, and iOS. Our first released title.

  3. Phoenix Fan Fusion

Jawless Fish took a booth and showed Jawless Fishtank on it. Our first time in front of a crowd.

  4. Jawless Fishtank demo released

The first public build of the fish tank idler.

  5. Jawless Fish gets in touch

They asked whether we were interested in building a game as a marketing tool for their store. Jawless Fishtank came out of that conversation.

2024

  1. Bombseeker gets a Steam page

A playable prototype existed, so the store page went up and an open playtest went out with it.

  2. FiveFour Games is founded

It became clear early on that this would be more than one game set in Aldia. That warranted a studio with its own identity, under the Rogue Wolf umbrella.

  3. The devlog starts

As part of Rogue Wolf we began writing About The Pack, a weekly update covering every Rogue Wolf project. It was taken over by Bombseeker updates almost immediately.

  4. Development begins on Bombseeker

Have you ever had that moment of thinking to yourself, "I should make a video game"? This was ours.
