Chaos Ranger
Co-op action shooting on a colony that just ran out of time
Chaos Ranger is a co-op action shooter in a brand-new universe — nothing to do with Aldia. Think the moment-to-moment feel of a modern looter shooter, built by one person in Godot, with online co-op wired in from the start.
The setup
You are a Ranger — one of the gifted few who wield chaos, the elite order that defends the human colony of Roricstead. Most Rangers are away at any given time, holding the frontier out among the other colonies. So when an enemy comes over the walls in force, the city is defended by a skeleton crew and this year’s fresh graduates.
You are one of the graduates. Day one is a full-scale defense.
Where it is right now
Chaos Ranger is an early prototype and the studio’s most ambitious project by a distance. The core — movement, weapons, the four ability trees, chaos, and online co-op — runs in-engine, and a linear campaign slice is greyboxed end to end. It is a long way from a release, and there is no store page yet.
It gets its own dedicated updates on the devlog as it comes together.
Highlights
-
Chaos is the point
Your ultimate is not a "super" — it is chaos, a resource you build and spend to turn a losing fight around. The whole kit is built to make spending it feel earned.
-
Four ability trees
Four distinct playstyles, each a full tree rather than a single gimmick. Pick how you want to fight, then commit to it.
-
A slot-based arsenal
Swap weapons across your loadout slots and lean into the fire modes that suit the fight in front of you.
-
Built for co-op
Drop-in online co-op from the ground up — the netcode came before the content, not after it.
