The old fivefour.games was a WordPress install with a stock theme, four game pages that were completely empty, three duplicate press kit pages that were also empty, and two stock photos doing the work that screenshots should have been doing. The “Learn More” buttons on the games page pointed at a URL that did not exist.
It has been rebuilt from scratch as a static site.
What actually changed
Every game has a real page now. Bombseeker in particular has the description, the screenshots, the platform list, and a wishlist link — all the things that were sitting on its Steam page and nowhere else.
Press kits are real. One per title, each with a fact sheet, a description you can quote, and downloadable assets. If you are writing about one of our games, everything you need should be on that page.
It is fast. No plugins, no database, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers. The whole site is pre-rendered files. Nothing is watching you read it.
The colours are ours. The palette is sampled from the logo and from Bombseeker itself — the parchment behind those hand-drawn tiles is the same parchment behind the game icons. That was already a system; it just was not being used anywhere.
Where the devlog goes
This is where build updates land from now on. Town Defender is the next thing to talk about, and there will be more to say about Bombseeker as it gets closer.
There is an RSS feed if you would rather not check back.
